MDS Walkathon
On May 11, 2002 I will become a Bat Mitzvah. As part of my preparation for this special event, I am planning a walk-a-thon to raise money for MDS. MDS stands for myelodysplastic syndromes, a blood disease which can strike any person of any age, gender or race. Thousands of people are stricken with this often fatal blood disorder every year. MDS occurs when the bone marrow stops making enough healthy blood cells.
I am organizing this walk, along with my family, in memory of my cousin, Gordon Forgash. He had MDS and sadly lost his battle with this disease. This is shy I want to help find a cure. We are holding this walk-a-thon on Sunday, April 14, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at Roosevelt Intermediate School in Westfield. All the information is on the attached flyer. If you have any questions, or would like to register, please e-mail me at skoller@comcast.net. Thanks so much. I hope to see you at the walk! Jenna Skoller |
